What’s the story?

  • GenuTrace and Refiberd have formed a strategic fiber traceability partnership

  • New dual process combines AI and forensic science to authenticate fiber, yarn, and fabric origins

  • Technology validates feedstock claims before fabrics are ever produced

Brightwaters, N.Y. – GenuTrace, a provider of forensic supply chain verification, has formed a strategic partnership with Refiberd, an AI-driven innovator in textile sorting.

The collaboration will establish a dual-layer validation system that combines forensic science and AI to verify the authenticity and origin of fiber, yarn and fabric.

The partnership combines Refiberd’s AI-enabled hyperspectral imaging technology – which is capable of rapidly classifying fibers, yarns and fabrics by their spectral fingerprints – with GenuTrace’s forensic stable isotope analysis, which verifies the true geographic origin of cotton. This two-step system is designed to validate feedstock claims before fabrics are ever produced.
